As many of you know from reading several of my previous posts as well as my books, I’m absolutely obsessed with all things diversity related. From multicultural events, to interracial dating and marriages, to biracial kids, and multinational identity. These social constructs such as race (or more specifically, self actualized racial identity) help us to categorize, relate and include as well as normalize our life experiences in order to help us understand, or at times, even exclude or demonize others around us.

As I have continuously explored diversity topics throughout my life, I ran into a magazine a long time ago called Interrace, which was at that time a print publication. Though I hadn’t been able to find it again for the last several years. So I was overjoyed when I was doing some research recently and was reintroduced to Interrace.

I reached out to and recently had the pleasure of conversing with David Somerfleck, who told me that together with his wife Lisa, they have re-launched a 2.0 version of Interrace called Interrace Today. Feel free to check it out at: http://interracetoday.com/ They also have a blog here on WordPress at http://interrace.wordpress.com/

Lisa apparently also creates multicultural themed artwork, which you can find here: http://interracetoday.com/store/ I am so excited that they’ve brought their magazine online. The digital version features romantic tales and dating tips for and from interracial couples, as well as a wide range of stories that would interest anyone who’s all about the “swirling” phenomenon. 🙂

So check it out and let me know what you think. In the meantime, I’m still working on various swirls of my own, including the complicated romance developing between main characters Cheryl Oliver and Joseph Vu in Volume 3 of the Chocolate Chronicles (Chocolate Rau Câu: PUA War Games!) which will becoming to Amazon soon (I’m estimating by next week). I hope you all enjoy a fabulous “hump day” today and I will catch you all in the mix soon.
